With over 30 years experience I'm excited to be back doing what I love and following my dream, being my own boss and helping others with their 'honey do' lists all the way up to their larger remodeling projects.  Coming from a large and loving family, my upbringing has instilled in me the true definition of integrity, family values and a house being a home.

Raised in Southern Oregon I graduated High School in Cave Junction and enlisted into the United States Air Force proudly serving four years. Upon leaving the Air Force I moved to Southern California where I worked in multiple construction fields. This is when I learned many of the skills of my trade as I have always been a “hands on” learner.

After giving up the fast paced lifestyle of Southern California I relocated back to the State I grew up in and missed so much.  That is when I started Sorensen Handyman & Construction located in Grants Pass, Oregon and built a book of clients that entrusted me with their home projects. Some of whom to this day, ask if I am ever going to resume business in that area as they enjoyed having a contractor who actually did what he said he would do and took pride in his work.  It wasn't long before I found my way to the Portland area where I met my amazing wife Lela, whom herself had over 25+ years experience managing businesses.  It was a perfect match on so many levels as she continues to keep me on my toes daily.  She prefers to stay behind the scenes but don't let that fool you.  She is the one that will answer the phone, makes sure you receive your estimate, that your paperwork is inline and your project is scheduled from start to finish.  From websites to social media, paperwork, deskwork, it's all her - thank goodness!  She can't swing a hammer to save her life and if you stick me behind a desk the results just aren't pretty.  

I have done just about everything in the field of remodeling and have been referred to as a “Jack of all trades”. There isn’t much in the way of construction that I haven’t been asked to do. But more importantly, I love my work.  I love the creative process that goes into handyman and remodeling work, but most of all, we both love our clients. We have found them to be our biggest motivator.
